Thanks Steve. That's kinda what I figured. Already planning to bring poles, but wasn't sure if traction gear would be necessary after a week of sun (albeit, cold) and other boots on the trail. I'll plan to bring spikes and hopefully won't need them. If I need spikes, I'd actually be more concerned about softening snow on the way down after the sun comes up.
