Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Whitney Main Trail Conditions 2015 (Out-of-Date)

Thanks again to Steve C all who have provided experience based information. It is valuable.

We will summit Whitney from the portals trail head departing Sunday 6/7 and returning Monday 6/8, acclimating at Whitney portals 6/6.

Our plan is to take the SB up and down and use crampons. No ice picks or poles. If anybody with current experience wishes to correct me on my strategy I am open to it.

I look forward to returning with a full report on Tuesday.
