Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Whitney Main Trail Conditions 2016 (Out-of-Date)

Hello AnnieAM -

I hiked on the main trail last Fri. Snow started ~ 1/2 mile b4 Lone Pine Lake.

We didn't make it very far - my hiking partner was sick and we turned back @ Trailside Meadow. Up until this point, the snow was packed and we walked in the shoe prints of previous hikers. It snowed lightly from 7AM on last Fri.

There was snow @ the portal when we returned! Will post a couple photos later.
