Hey Fellow Hikers, I got a Day-Hike permit for June 18. I wanted your expertise to see how the trail would look this year, i am mostly worried about the trail after trail camp. Do you think the switchbacks will be open to use by June this year ? How was the winter this year ? Was it better than last year ?
I did the day hike last year during July and had to unfortunately head back after trail camp as i wasn't prepared enough to take on the chute (Switchbacks were covered in snow) and also partially due to altitude sickness.
