Thanks for the report and the pictures - great job and what an accomplisment! I did Half Dome last year and the Mt Whitney day hike this year. I am now planning my 2013 goal - either the High Sierra Trail or Rim-to-Rim.
I mentioned to my group after our Whitney hike that we should do r2r. Guess it was too soon after the hike as nobody wanted to do an extreme day hike ever again. Now that it has been two months, they are starting to change their minds. HST or R2R??? Both are right answers
