Awww -- I love happy ending animal stories!
Both of my dogs were rescued; Nakita the husky was found tied to a tree
...but she lived 14 more very happy (spoiled) years.
Scruffie, the Jack Russel was found in a dark outside holding cell, awaiting euthanasia the next morning. I came home that night and found a puppy in my bathroom! We have been together for 18yrs now (which is why I do not go away for extended over-nighters anymore -- it's too stressful on her.)
