My friends want to spend more time in the Canyon. Maybe we'll spend one night at Bright Angel Camp and then make our way over to Horseshoe Mesa and up the Grandview Trail. There must be a spot to camp between Bright Angel and Horseshoe Mesa? And my friends tell me the North Rim "opens" on May 15. What does this mean? Can I not start down from the North Rim before May 15?
