Hi knowledgable folks,
I'm trying to do a route from Bishop Pass -> Mt Sill -> Middle Pal -> ??? -> Split Mtn -> back to Bishop Pass.
I'm fine up until Middle Pal. The "easiest" way logistically seems to be going up one of the western routes, e.g. Cl. 4 "Farquhar Death Chute" which seems to be a giant pain. However, that would allow me to then regain the JMT and head straight down over Mather Pass to Split Mtn.
The other option is Sill -> Glacier Notch -> Middle Pal via the classic NE route. Then I could either go down Southfork pass (bad conditions I've read...) to the JMT, or backtrack and take Scimitar Pass.
Any thoughts from anyone who has done this, the Farquhar chute, or Southfork pass before?
