I have a permit to summit Whitney on June 19, 2023 and am just putting this out there to see if anyone else that reads this will be on the mountain the same day. I don't feel comfortable attempting Whitney alone but my partner is not able to make it so I have an extra permit for the 19th and am hoping to find others to join, whether around the trailhead or in advance. I realize there's a slim chance of summitting in June this year but am going to show up anyways, spend the night as close to the trailhead as possible the night before, and feel it out. Worst case scenario, I explore other trails in the Lone Pine area and Alabama Hills. I do have mountaineering experience and proper equipment, but nobody to accompany me for safety. I was on Elbert in November 2022 and hiked the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim in February 2023 (alone)....both covered in snow. Thanks in advance!
