OP Kascadia K Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 24 PNW - Cascade Foothills	Any opinions on when the best time is to do the Mtr Rt? Beyond whether or not one is more comfortable on snow or rock, I'm curious as to when the route has the most aesthetic appeal.

Steve C S Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 8,529 Likes: 107 Fresno, CA	The MR is definitely safer when it's dry. When there is ice, those sections require extreme care and attention. Aesthetically, the lower areas are prettier when the vegetation is fully out -- so summer when there is no snow/ice.
