I have an overnight permit for 2 that I plan to cancel in the morning (last minute conflict). If anyone wants to try to grab them when I release them, send me a pm so we can coordinate a time

After you cancel your permits, the system then releases them for others to reserve "at a random time in the next 24 hours". Those are the words they use to describe the release of canceled permits.

So after you release them, someone would need to keep checking -- for an awful long time.

Oh well. It was worth a try. Just released them. happy hunting.
