I have a couple extra overnight permits from Whitney Portal on Fri July 30. Anyone interested?

Not really sure what you have in mind, but those permits cannot be transferred. Whoever picks them up will need to produce identification in the name of the permit owner.

They can be "shared". If the original permit owner (Karen) is still going, she can pick up the permits, and summit attempt 1 can join her. but I think the "system" will prevent "transfer". Alternatively, Karen could let summit attempt 1 know what time she will cancel the permits, and summit attempt 1 could watch the recreation.gov web site closely to try and snag those permits, but since they are released at a "random" time this might be a bit of a wild goose chase.
