Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Resupply over Taboose Pass

Need resupply over Taboose Pass Fri July 31 (or Sat Aug 1). At 79 this is likely my last real backpack trip. Trying to make it a liesure one, so need help with this resupply. Will pay $400 plus travel expenses.

The only people who can do that for money are commercial guiding companies who operate with a permit from Inyo N.F. I used Google, searched for mountain guides bishop ca and found this page from Inyo National Forest: Outfitters & Guides They list five guides in Bishop. I would contact each one and ask them. For the $400, I think you might get one of them to help you out.

Hello Sir. I'm not 79, but I am an old timer, and I would be glad to help out, if I can, as one senior to another. I came down Taboose last year. Just cover my travel expenses, which won't be much as I will be in the June Lake area then. About how much resupply in pounds are you planning? Are you going north to south or south to north? Will I be meeting you at the top of Taboose Pass or on the PCT? Now, I just don't want to be hauling up too much stuff, just enough to get you to your next point.
