So heard that Frank A. and Louise were going to do Langley to get Louise some elevation as shes going to Europe to climb the Matterhorn, Cathy and I met them there Friday night. They and Phil B. hit the trail at 2:30a while we hit it at 4:30. Saw Frank on the shortcut chute and that was the last we saw of the 3 until back at camp.
Cathy did not like the chute or the loose ground as it made her nervous so long story short she wont be doing it again. We were 1/2 way though the rocks near the shelf to the summit when we turned around..
On the way down going to Army we saw a marmot crying out the warning cry as a coyote was scoping out another marmot.. nature at its best.. We noticed the coyote when walking was fine but a fast walk or trot it was limping..
