E-Ledges

Has anyone been on the E-Ledges lately? Some of us are heading up there on Friday with heavy packs. Just wondering if there's any ice or snow on the ledges.

Kurt W posted pictures from a trip a month ago here.

Pictures #38 through #50 are from the Ebersbacher Ledges, and there isn't any snow in view. But there is snow below and after the ledges in his pictures.

Thanks, Steve. I had already seen those photos, but since it snowed last week, maybe conditions have changed. I guess our group will find out tomorrow morning. Inyo County is making us work harder, by closing the gate at 6700 feet.

The south-facing Ebersbacher Ledges are probably the first to dry out after a snow storm. It would take a really big dump to cause a problem this late in the spring.

That gate business is pretty frustrating, I agree.
