Anyone happen to know how the water situation is at UBSL/LGSL? I am sure in the north fork canyon the water has to be flowin pretty good, Heading up there tomorrow and dont wanna have to pack two full ltrs at the start

NOAA predicts today's highs at the Portal and the summit to be 64 and 46. I'd say the snow will be melting fast! No need for snow shoes, unless you want to sweat more due to the weight on your pack.

As for water, I am sure you will find running water. This was written yesterday regarding Chicagosky's trip report of April 6-8:

Even though I wanted to get some snow shoeing in, I dont think the MR is the best route to be carrying them up "just for fun" Thanks again Steve. Always great info.

Saturday there was running water between LBSL and UBSL and even after UBSL I found water in the afternoon on the way back.
