I've called a few times, but she's probably eating Mt PANCAKE! That takes a while.
But....the question is..... Did wazzu make it?
I expect her to answer soon.

Congratulations on your summit, Wazzu!
I'm anxiously awaiting your TR and photos. Did your hiking buddy summit too? I hope your hiking buddy didn't get altitude sickness and was able to share your summit experience with you.
Did you have your burger and beer at the Portal?

well, wazzu is just so cool. I truly love and appreciate this woman. I've hiked with her several times and there is not chance you could find a better friend, a more caring person than this. I only wish I had hiked with her more.
wazzu called me last night while I was on a DATE!!!! I stopped everything ;-).....Imagine how honored I was to get the call from Barbara. She knows how much I cared about her summit, how I wanted her to have the same experiences Gary and I had when we summited. I knew she would make it, but the waiting was a bit difficult. She said she had a fantastic time, great weather and met new friends......and that last part is what make the Whitney experience so special.
I know wazzu's gonna thank everyone, but as her friend, I want to thank you for wishing her well. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE TR!!!!!!!

Thanks just doesn't cover it, but that's all I can say for all the support from everyone. I definitely felt the positive energy the whole week, and especially the closer I got to the summit, the more I felt the connection. QS (Joe), you are the best. Not sure I would have even submitted the permit application back in Feb if it wasn't for your PM's encouraging me. We will have to get out on the trail again, after you make it up the MR. I'm still writing up the TR, but here's a few summit shots. It was a great day! (More to come.)
