Hey guys.... wazzu has been training her ass off for the last few months. She just kicked San Gorgornios butt, has hiked Baldy, Ice House, San Jacinto, a short Whitney pre hike, local mountains and much more. She helped save a hiker who was delirious and seeing things when she tried to summit last year, so she's a really caring person who put someone elses health ahead of her goals. Let's wish her luck. She's going up on the 31st on a two night attempt. She'll be going alone, so if you see her on the trail, wish her luck.
wazzu's schedule:
8/28 - 8/29 Horseshoe Meadow (camp, hike, acclimate)
8/30 - 1 night at the portal
8/31 - after breakfast at the store, Outpost Camp
9/1 - Consultation Lake
9/2 - SUMMIT DAY!!!!!! and return to CL for the night
9/3 - Burger & Beer at the store.

Yes, and even more, she's going to re-install the computer running the Whitney webcam at the film history museum. It will be nice to have our pictures back.

BEST OF LUCK! I hope you have a great time and agreeable weather. I can't wait to see the pictures of your hiking buddy on the summit! My 8 yo son has had me print out all the pictures of Luna/Wolfie!

At this point, it looks like a clear/sunny period develops beginning Monday. Hopefully, that will hold all week for you. wazzu, go sign that damn register!

Thanks for the heads up (been away w/o access  having withdrawl!), I will have to show Dylan and am sure will have to print those as well. We are all cheering for you and see that you did great! Can't wait for the TR!! I am thinking I will have to get my own hiking buddy since I doubt Dylan will let me take his. ALL THE BEST!!! Heather
