Found this link to a form where you can list the information that the sheriff or SAR will need in case you are late returning and someone reports you missing.

You don't have to use the form to leave the info with someone, but it gives a pretty good idea of the questions that will be asked by any sheriff or SAR if ever the need arises.

I know there's not many of us geeks, but I was surprised to see that a ham radio was not included on the form. Many SAR members are also hams, and having a radio greatly increases communication.
