My dad was a Minister and a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol. In 1957 15 Chaplains were flying in a US Airforce plane from Long Beach to Sacramento for a CAP meeting. All the Chaplains were briefed on how to use their parachutes in case of an emergency. They were shown how to go to the exit door, told to jump, and say Geronimo, then pull the rip cord. One of the Chaplins was my dad's good friend from Australia. Over the Santa Clarita Valley one of the two engines caught on fire and they all had to "hit the silk". Murray Postles, the Aussie, yelled something as he bailed out. Later my dad asked him what he said as he bailed out.Murray said "I couldn't remember the name of that Indian mate so I shouted Talley Ho the Fox" as I jumped out the plane."
