My wife noticed the recent earthquake activity about 45 miles north of us. Keeler is on the eastern side of Owens Lake, across from Olancha, and south of Lone Pine.

Kevin, did anyone feel it? It occurred Tuesday at 2:41 p.m.
Here's a link to the USGS recent earthquakes map.
California-Nevada Fault Map
Click on an area and it zooms in. Click on one of the squares, and it reports data on that earthquake.
Earthquake Details, from this link this link:

At only 17 miles from Lone Pine, and at a very shallow depth, the "shake map" for the initial 4.5 quake indicates that it could very well have been felt by anyone in the Whitney area (including the summit) at the time. Imagine being on the East Face during a quake. CaT

We must leave them a glimpse of the world as it was in the beginning, not just after we got through with it. - Lyndon Johnson, on signing the Wilderness Act into law (1964)

The first time Momma and I were overnighting at Trail Camp she spent all night listening to rockfall in some of the surrounding hillslopes (at first she thought it was thunder and we were in trouble.. then realized what it was... I in my comatose state was completely oblivious to any and all sounds).
Anyways... we dicussed it the next morning and wondering if it had anything to do with seismic activity in the area and when we got home she looked at the USGS site and sure enough there had been a "swarm" of small quakes in the area that night....

Steve -
We don't tend to notice them, but it's been very windy lately, so that noise tends to distract us from other occurrences.
That's a very active area in terms of quakes. Usually they're more in the 2.5 - 2.7 range. I guess I'd get nervous if they DIDN'T occur.
There's a big geothermal plant just south of Keeler, accessed by the road that goes east of the Chevron station at the Little Lake rest area. You can't get very far up the road, though. It's on Navy land, lots of Haliburton trucks around, etc. They continuously re-inject water into the ground to produce steam.
