I don’t think you understand the concept of the NPS. It’s not for locals, it’s for the country, and the whole country contributes to its survival via Federal Taxes. In fact, they probably contribute a lot more to the parks than the Bishop poors who make $50k per year? So I’ll hike whenever the hell I want.
