We were told the class 2 route up from the Notch can be treacherous in snowy and possibly icy conditions and that several climbers had fallen to their deaths along this section. Doug at the trailhead store suggested that whomever associated the word "easy" with this alternative route did the community a major disservice. When dry, as in the video, it does look pretty straight forward.
