Wow, Sam Mack looks dry. I remember going through a nice wide creek with lush green carpet. I went around the same time as you several years ago and the creek swept past that big boulder in the center of your picture and practically touching the trail.
Did Thunderbolt to Polemonium over three years ago and that was one of the most fun times I've had in the mountains. I camped at Thunderbolt Pass though. That is tough one as a C2C. The jewel of that area is Temple Crag though IMO.
Hope you got to see Whitney and company from the top of Sill. A very cool view up there, but I won't be back.
