When the NPS release said he'd been found by a trail crew I looked at their site to see where crews might be. It said that when he was "missing" there were crews working on the north face of Mather Pass and in the Middle Fork Kings River area...
Would either of these make sense?
Yes it could. Trail crews often work several miles from where their summer camps are. Another crew was reported closer to Bench in another post, however, by someone else who was airlifted from there a couple of weeks ago.
