Steve, based on your now past experience, sleeping at 10 k two nights and taking Diamox is probably a good plan.

When you are hiking, try drinking about a pint of water an hour (less if it is cold), and taking snack breaks once an hour. I usually have to remind myself to eat and drink when I am climbing. If you need to pee every two hours, that's a good indication you are getting the right liquid intake.
