I have the same problem with La Sportiva's Trango EVO. They fit in the heel but the toe box is a killer.
No last is perfect. Find something that fits and wear it until they make it no more. That's why I have resoled a pair of Kayland Contacts even though the eVent sock is NG, as it is on another pair of Kaylands.
