I camped at the Sheperds Pass lake, great views and a great jumping off point for many different climbs (Williamson, Tyndall, Junction, Versteeg, Trojan).
The night time low was just about freezing, but I was warm and toasty.
The Shepherds Pass snowfield is booted down fairly well and easy to cross without gear.
Plenty of water at both lakes
