After much input, editing and thought from various groups, several SAR people with help from Esri and Maverick have put together a web map and flyer to make people aware that there's a missing person in the Sierra.

The idea is NOT to have people go looking for Larry, but to be aware that they may run across clues during a planned recreational hike, how to treat and record possible clues and who to report them to. This is part of an ongoing effort on how to use maps and social media to get the public's help on searches. Suggestions are always welcome.

It would be great if people could print the flyer and put up in mountaineering stores in your area. I'm sending to a friend to post in Bishop. Don't know what REI policy is, but if people could take them by there, that would be appreciated. Links from Facebook etc. would also be terrific.

Thanks,

George
