I think, when the light is especially dim, the web cam cameras take a long exposure, and somehow the blue light is all that gets recorded. It is likely just the difference between human eyes and the camera chip.

On the Willamson pictures, see the headlight or tail light streaks on the early or late pictures to get an idea how much longer the shutter was open.

WPS cam is out of focus sometimes because they have it set on automatic focus, and in low light, that camera model has a hard time. WZ cam is on manual focus, which works ok until you zoom in too much.

Sure wish I could find someone interested in building a robot-control to manage a currently available point-and-shoot camera. The quality these days is so much better than the Olympus SP 500.
