Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Tahoe Area Hikes

I too live in Reno and know the area well. I can suggest some hikes near Truckee less difficult than Mt Tallac.Castle Peak, Tinker Knob, Mt Lola. Or if you want a beautiful alpine lake as your destination check out Lower Lola Montez Lake (I was there last week) or Loch Leven (3 beautiful lakes)
