(1) "Moderate" to Laura = 50 pounds. I've never asked her what "heavy" means - not sure I want to know. I've seen her haul 65 pounds in July. For me, 30 pounds is when the cursing begins.

(2) "Refreshment" and "treat" are Moose-relative as well. For bottled Scotch, refer to (1) above.


Our medical packs in the army weighed 70lbs....! (I wasn't the doctor -- only the 'equipment specialist"....which really translates to "grunt") I would find it really hard to "voluntarily" carry that much weight again for 'fun'.
