A friend and I took advantage of the still-open passes to visit the Eastern Sierras and catch some fall foliage. I appreciate the suggestions I received here, which led to a lovely hike up to Yost Lake (June Lake loop). And an unexpected trip part way up the Main Trail of Whitney.
