actually, there were two russian women in the group, both of whom added to the beauty of the Meysan trail.
It was somewhat amusing to see them getting made up before heading off to Le Conte. I kinda figured that women would ignore makeup when hiking/climbing, but both of these women went with the full deal....foundation, blush, eye makeup....
considering how few people were on the trail, especially to Le Conte, it must have been for the marmots.
