As + @ti2d said, it's standard practice. If overnighting, you're required to use a bear cannister, so food you don't bring to the summit will be stored in it. Leave this cannister outside your tent. The marmots are rather bold, and are used to human presence. The place isn't overrun with them, but if your tent is a bit apart from others, it's a more obvious target for them.
