Thunderstorms? Anyone climbing the HD cables in that kind of weather is on a death wish anyway. The obvious problems of steel cables in an electrical stom PLUS slick and wet polished granite.... Mercy!!!
YNP only allows people to reserve 4 permits, specifically to prevent scalping. But I agree they shouldn't be transferable.
