It turns out he and his friend helped us clear an obstacle on the Ebersbacher Ledges on Saturday. Here's their picture, Trevor is on the left:

Inyo County Sheriff's Office reported the recovery on their FB page here.

From their report:
On Sunday, at 8:20am Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call about a fatality involving a 25-year old male base jumper near Lower Boy Scout Lake. One SAR team member aided the CHP crew in recovering the body.

They posted this picture, taken from the helicopter heading in for the recovery:

My deepest condolences and prayers go out to the friends and family of that young man. My thanks and appreciation goes out to the men and women tasked with the rescue and recovery missions.

Michael B sent me these pictures of the SAR recovery. I met Mike and his party the day before heading up the Ebersbacher Ledges.

Our deepest condolences. We were 150 yards away and made the 911 call and got there as fast as we could. We did what we could to help.

Want to thank the three EMTs, CHP flight officers and search and rescue lady who all did everything they could to help.

Jamie, Sarah and Michael

I am Trevor's mom. Thank you to all who helped with SAR for my son. It is such a devastating loss. He was a beautiful soul who lived life without regrets.

Deanna, I can't imagine the pain you must feel. I hope over time it will become less. I am so sorry that he is gone.
