Mt Whitney Zone Forums Thread Like Summary - What if our leader can't go on the Whitney hike

I just got an email from our group leader saying that she might not be able to go on the hike with us. Does anyone know what happens in such a dilemma? I know that she is the only one who can pick up the permit, but do you know if she can pick it up days before the hike? Cindy
