I've had the Yosemite plates on my car(s) for at least a decade now - $20 from each plate goes to the Yosemite Conservancy (
https://yosemite.org/) - mine are just sequential though, not personalized, it wasn't worth the extra $$$ a year for the personalized ones for me
oh and for the person that mentioned ordering personalized plates in June 23 - the website says it can take up to 8 months right now
