Muir Trail going up in smoke along Sunrise Creek. Found these on Flickr, where you can find larger versions - not my photos:

Wow! I wish my eyes saw views the way these photographs look. The pictures are so crisp and colored perfectly.

(I know I am creeping off-topic)

What sort of equipment takes pictures this fabulously???

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

simple recipe:

recent mid to high end full frame DSLR or high end compact mirrorless camera (e.g. Sony A7), good glass (i.e. can cost more than camera), a TRIPOD in this case. Then you need to have recent post processing tools and know how to get the most out of the RAW files a camera like this can record.

in this case (taken from info on Flickr)

Nikon D800e with 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikon lens. The star image was a 4 second exposure, so there's the tripod requirement.

I hope the fire is out. I hate to see Yosemite in flames, makes me sad.

Absolutely beautiful pictures!

I was finishing Panorama Trail when these shots were apparently taken. Wasn't quite so pretty at Nevada Falls.

I took some pictures with a Nikon AW100, but they pale in comparison.

Thanks very much for sharing.
