Camphost does not patrol the trailhead parking lot. Don't know if anyone does.

I suspect when you get there, it will all work out. And probably unreserved sites in the event that you need to pick up another.

Yep, good French place, lunch and dinner, make a right (south) onto 395 from OV road, restaurant is maybe a half dozen storefronts down on the right. Still Life Cafe.
