I don't know if this has ever been mentioned, but here goes...
If you are a cyclist, then you may have some of these. I for one, have a lot. I used to ride century (100-mile) rides for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-In-Training (GO TEAM!)
I have an assortment of jerseys that are long- or short-sleeved.
They have zippers for venting and they have wicking properties.
Most importantly, they have one feature very beneficial to me...Pockets in the back.
Something to consider when hiking in the high country (especially on "Mecca West"). You can stuff all kinds of stuff in those pockets. Makes for ease so you don't have to take your pack on or off. Some pockets are deep, some are not.
The only downside may be if you are digging around to get something out, you may pull out other gear and not know it.
I use them when camping, too. They keep me warm and dry.
Something to consider.
Have fun.
