Mt Whitney Zone Forums Trip Reports Williamson

We left from Shepherd Pass trail head early, made the ten mile trek to the pass, there is only about 40' of snow to cross. Not a big deal, then headed cross country to the west face of Mount Williamson and made our ascent. It was a perfect day of climbing. If there is anyone wondering, there is no snow to deal with aside from the small bit at the top of Shepherd Pass. See ya at Whitney portal later today. Tomorrow Whitney to Tyndall over Shepherds Pass and down.

Well played - way to get out and about. That's a long way in and out. We'll be up on the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak tomorrow - I'll try to shoot you with my laser from the summit, I think it will reach Tyndall.

I like the goats we see them often , wish I could move over rock like they do. We will post photos when we are finished and in front of computer for more than two hours ,headed to Portal .......

We will look for the beam .... leaving at 2 am so the sky will be clear for miles upon miles ... good luck all over the weekend...
