None. We only had our permits for the cables. Before we started our project I contact Yosemite in regards to what permits would be needed, but it was too late to apply for one and have it in time for our trip.
You're also not allowed to bring motorized gear into wilderness territory--which our dolly is, but very small and quiet. The ranger never asked/told us we couldn't have it. I guess its probably luck of the draw. I wouldn't suggest doing what we did, but it worked out--I can't say everyone will though.

Hmmmm... Film cameras with automatic advancing mechanisms are/were "motorized" too.
I think the motorized rules were meant to apply to gasoline-powered machines (think chain saws, motor bikes, generators, etc), not small battery powered equipment.

It does sound familiar to me, but for a different reason: I've eaten many of the exact same Mountain House Spaghetti with Meat Sauce meals out of the exact same circa-2006 Jet Boil! The igniter's defunct, but it still works like a charm!

I've heard it too many times "no wheels in the wilderness". Instead your forced to fill in crush using dirt bags. National Parks do use them though. Taken on the Kaweah Gap trail above Hamilton Lake:

And when there is a forest fire, do they prohibit chain saws or airplanes or helicopters?

no fire, Yosemite NP, normal daily thing in spring, and this year you'll probably hear these things all summer long in the Sierra
