Congratulations making it over the hill, Alan! My kids tell me I'm "older than dirt". Now you can join the club. I went over Mt. Baldy today -- still a decent hill. Older than dirt? I can live with that!

What In The World Happened Here? XCIX (99): The place is evidently a veritable graveyard of a certain type.

What In The World Happened Here? XCIX (99): The place is evidently a veritable graveyard of a certain type. graveyard of the Pacific? does not look like Vancouver Island graveyard of the Atlantic? does not look like Cape Hatteras I wonder if, instead, the site refers to ships sunk there on purpose?

By some accounts, at least one ocean has more than one graveyard.

It's able to be called a graveyard. I though maybe "able" was a clue for the name of the first nuc at bikini, hence graveyard of ships.

Well, I think that the island's name translates to "sand" in English. Rhymes with and, band, hand, land, NAND,... By the way, since bikinis came up: What In The World Happened Here? LXVII: ( Link)

What In The World Happened Here? C (100): Anything more to be said about this scene? Third clue: If you had the coordinates and a Garmin or some other black box device, you could drive there.

> The official name of the island is French for "sand." Well doggone! I know the Spanish translation, but I never learned any French, except maybe "s'il vous plaƮt" Now that anybody can find its name, I guess I should post a map. ...It's beginning to look like the Cheshire Cat's grin. Not sure if this will come through, but here is an image that underscores the "graveyard" title. (from Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

fooled me, Steve, I thought it looked like in warmer climes. I looked up Gulf Stream plots and it does not go up that far to Nova Scotia, instead it heads easterly to keep the British Isles inhabitable, and even points north of there.

I liked this photo from the wiki: This is a Britten Norman Islander. We flew out to Santa Rosa Island in one of these, complete with Steve's Folbot.

This is not a new puzzle - just an easter egg for everybody who has soldiered on this far. And AlanK, no cricket involved! Found at daily coyote.
