I need to brush the chalk off of my lab coat and get caught up. Before getting into LVI, I have a question about LV -- did Steve get it? I watched some of the video but missed anything that identified the site.

did I jump the gun on leaving LV (55)? Sorry, if so. I watched half of the video and by the way it was looking, I just assumed surely the site was in there.
LVI (56) Alan already has it. Think Canucks. We use a lot of their products (when we can get it) here in the US, and in my office.

I admit to having found a bunch of places in Kazakhstan that looked like wagga's picture... but not enough like it. So, I was far from Nevada.

It's a boot time for meltdown #3 they way this place is running. Why do we rely so much on this place with so many accidents over the years?

... Before getting into LVI, I have a question about LV -- did Steve get it? No WAY, guys! I did NOT get it. I just threw that one up for fun, since it is sort of in the spirit of the puzzle. I went looking (Googling) for "Desert Triangle", and found several bizarre aerial pics. Then tried "120-degree desert" and found nothing but stuff about high temperature weather. LV is UNsolved. (wagga, I think a hint might be welcome.... which hemisphere are we talking?) BTW, pay attention to the Subject when you reply. Change the numbers to correspond to the appropriate puzzle.

Based on the usual focus on nuclear physics, I Googled for blast test sites. I just received a call from Homeland Security and my computer is flashing on and off... Just Kidding, so far.

That explains the strange noises I keep hearing behind me ever since I started searching Kazakhstan.

We need a cluesie?
Back in the old days they used to sell tickets to locomotive crashes. Can't do that at this place. Not for lack of rails.

If there was a crash, it would be on the radio, literally.

Searching for Cosmos turned up this: Cosmos FlowerI can see the similarity between the three flowers and the map below. The Carl Sagan clue is off the track. "It is not, despite depictions in popular culture, used to assist in the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence" Same map, separate windowWhat finally solved it for me was to Google desert rail antenna "carl sagan"Edit: Have fun with the map. Best view is to select "Hybrid" on the right "Map" button. Then zoom in or out. Edit #2: Overcome by curiosity, I had to find pictures of the "NRAO VLA Transporter" Awesome pictures here: Three pages of thumbnailsVLA Antenna & Transporter 2004VLA Finley3Visiting the Very Large ArrayNRAO Very Large Array: Transporter

How would you Contact him? To quote a SciFi character, who repeatedly said, "He's dead, Jim." The VLA featured prominently in Carl Sagan's 1980 documentary Cosmos: A Personal Voyage.

Answer: What In The World Happened Here? LV: (55)The Very Large Array needs a new name. Check out the comments. I like: Extremely Large Variable Interferometer Sensor. More info here at the Wiki, and a reference to the fact that the VLA was used to follow up on the SETI "Wow" signal, "drawing vast conclusions from half-vast data"
