It's 3 states away from Arkansas, 2 if you take the train. Would that be UP to bypass 66?
Wherever you go, there you are. SPOTMe!

No highway 66 involved. The locals are more likely to think 666. Some think that pelicans are involved.

It's 3 states away from Arkansas, and 2 if you take the train. I made the clue a little more clear. From Arkansas, there is just one state that is 3 states away unless you take the choo choo. I did have to print out a map to confirm that. Bulldog34 may have viewed this site as a challenge.

Babylonian, Sanskrit, Greek (Classical, no less) plus Egyptian hieroglyphs? Don't they speak English there? Helluva long way from New Mexico! Bad guess on my part there.

So #40 is the American Stonehenge. Never heard of it.
Salty is off to the Sierras.
Not much brain power on WITWHH these days. Need some new blood. Maybe Rod or tdtz will help out
Numerical clue for #41 is one sixth

Numerical clue for #41 is one sixth The clue sounds loony, but that may reflect the lack of brainpower here rather than the phase of the moon.

That really was too obvious...what else would one sixth signify? Yes, Neil was there

Harvey & AlanK - you have this game all to yourselves - I'm just leaving with Steve C to pick up Salty & camp in Sequoia.

Hell, Harvey, I've lived in Georgia most of my 53 years and I've never heard of it. Had to look it up on Wiki to figure out what the Georgia Guidestones was all about. Now I understand wagga's clues. And no, wagga, those columns are not anywhere near my wheelhouse. Yet.

Not far from Harvey's home. I updated the summary, but only after Rod's post. I hope our crew is having fun in Sequoia.

Thinking about #41. Well I have been as looney as a full moon due to pain meds from surgery yesterday. Thinking Longingly and Langley about my recovery.Hope my Dr. practiced his technique at a professional training facility. http://www.nps.gov/history/history/online_books/butowsky4/space14.htm

Well done alan and rod. Yes, langley research center is in hampton , va and not at the CIA in langley,va located near DC. Project Mercury was there before the space program moved to houston. Neil Armstrong and others "flew" the LEM in simulated moon gravity while suspended from cables of the contraption in the picture. Built in 1965 it is still there. I worked one summer there in 1971 writing Fortran for use on on punch cards... imagine that !
Best wishes for salty, steve, wagga in SEKI. I have a month to go before I get back.
