Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion from San Diego to Whitney portal ?

Hi,

is there anyone from San Diego area going to Whitney in the coming weeks ?

We climbed (successfully !) Whitney this past weekend - great weather but quite tough going up the chute.

Unfortunately, we mistakenly left a few items in the metal bear boxes near the Whitney Portal store. The store has very helpfully agreed to hold these items.

Would anyone from San Diego be willing to collect them and bring them bag to SD for us ? It consists of two small bags I can describe to you in detail.

Please reply here or send me a private message if you are able to help out. It would be REALLY appreciated !! Would happily offer a small Starbucks card or like for your assistance.

Our permit is on July 17th, returning on the 18th to San Diego. If you don't have anyone going up sooner I would be happy to pick it up. Just let me know if you need my help.
