Wow what a jet settin hiker you are!! I am trying to forget the part about the NY hat.Great trip. Great Trip Report and excellent job handling Mt. Whitney like it was a piece of cake. Glad you had great weather. It can make a huge difference. Ask the 3 hikers stranded in a whiteout on the summit for 3 days last week and had to get chinooked out.
I love the expression "liberated from work". That is classic.
