I think Carls may be open later than McDonalds, but per my last super late meal in LP, Carls was not 24/7 back then. IIRC Carls was MAYBE open until midnight. if you are staying somewhere with a microwave/oven/stove I may bring food or buy restaurant food the night before to reheat if you will not be back to town until after 9P.
Most restaurants close between 9-10 depending on the week day. Closest 24hr places may be in Bishop or Antelope Valley.
This is a quick/dirty remembrance. I would check elsewhere.
